HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

We went a great BBQ at The Henrichsens for Memorial Day.

Things are still just as busy and fun as last week. Still need to have Joy School graduation.

New things with the girls. . .

Hailey’s finally got training wheels on her bike and I taught her how to get it going. I have a great video of her trying to pedal backwards on the grass. She got frustrated, and when she got stuck once, she started to make sounds like she was driving a car but she wasn’t going anywhere. Now when it’s warm outside(which it’s not) she rides in tiny circles on the little 10X15 patio in the back yard. I took her for a ride on the driveway, but since it slants so much she started rolling fast down hill and that freaked her out even though I was right beside her. We kept trying and I taught her to slow down and stop when she needed to. She got the hang of it but wanted to go back to the back yard for the rest of the play time.

Sierra rides her new tricycle around with Hailey. Loves to Dance and asks Daddy to turn on the music for her. We spent a good hour just running around and dancing in the family room and after I was spent she wanted to keep going. She’s really into doing summer saults now and having me, watch her do them. She’s still figuring out that you have to roll over, not go from a head stand straight onto your back. Since she’s so small, the flop over hasn’t hurt her. She will figure it out soon enough.

Such a cute family The girls are skipping a nap to watch Daddy play Luigi’s Mansion on the Gamecube. A nice relaxing way to spend Memorial Day. I think Nathan loves it! playing games surrounded by his daughters that are gobbling it all up while asking questions about what’s going on and asking Daddy to read the screen when he has an objective to achieve.

Hailey leaning to ride a bike with training wheels.

Memorial Day Hailey and Sierra played Dr. And Cooking under the blanket with Hunter and Noah. (Uh Oh!) Gotta keep an eye on these boys and girls! Daddy treated them to a nap free Gamecube Game Party!

Thanks for the feedback my Loyal readers! I love it!!!

Oh Yah. . .Here are the invitations to the Baby Shower/Mommy Spa Day.

I thought it was a pretty cool idea and a notepad too boot!

I’m so Excited I have so much planned it will take all night to get all the fun packed in. Massages, maicures, pedicures, foot soaks, parafin wax treatments, facials, aromatherapy, draped fabric, tons of greenery, water fountains, choclate coverd strawberries, smoothies, bottled water, Cucumber Melon scented house, relaxation music and friends all around. . AAAAAhhhhhh!

Those 3 Pregnant Mommys will need it, but so will the rest of us. I hope it turns out as nice as I have planned.

The past week.

Nathan has another Job interview in Kansas City SOON. So we are on Pins and Needles waiting to find out what will happen. We will be Happy either way we go. A job change would be really good for Nathan now. And the house has appreciated so much we could do well if we moved. On the other hand we have made so many great friends here and Hailey looking forward to kindergarten with people she knows. However I’d hate to get her in school and take her out. So now is the best time to move when it comes to that.

Other News.

Joy School Graduation is coming up. Anyone That’s around will be invited.

The girls got Dress up dresses from Aunt Shana and they have enjoyed dressing up with them except the sleeves on one cause Sierra to make these faces.(see pics)

Garage Sale Profit $100.00 just by selling my overstock of coupon deals (THANKS for the Yard Henrichsens!)

Couponing Is getting a little better there seem to be a lot more deals this week.(now just waiting for the coupons to come!)

The In laws are coming to town soon bringing Aunt Kathy for us to play with!!!!!! YEAH!!!

New Relief Society Presidency may cause great happiness to our Idea Table the sisters can benefit from. As I am the Enrichment leader and have a lot to share, but since I can’t and won’t teach every class I cannot share it all unless I put it on paper and let the sisters collect them. And I can probably do FUN stuff now! Not just how to store food storage. Whooo Hoooo!

I’m back at the Gym working out at the Fitness Edge. I have lost about 3 pounds just 22 left to go. The girls really enjoy the day care there, they are always bringing home great art and coloring pictures.

Working on putting together a Baby Shower for 2 friends from church. How’s a “Mamas Spa” sound? I have some pretty great Ideas for the house and the afternoon of pampering.

I’m teaching the Sister Missionary’s how to coupon so they can get the most for their money. One is so excited. I gave them a coupon binder to get them started. They eat at our house on Thursday nights.

We decorated out Dining room with family pictures moulding and paint to make them stand out. I’m still working on what to put in the side accent squares. (see pic)

Hailey’s Orange Belt Tae Kwon Do test is in 2 weeks – Still not ready (it’s really hard to me) Better get that video on for her.

Sierra and I go shopping or sit and watch Hailey together while Hailey is practicing TaeKwonDo. I had to take Sierra out because of the Fight she kept putting up when I tried to make her go. I gave it up. She did soo well from Sept to March. But it just started to go downhill. Yesterday she acted like she wanted to go back, but I think I’ll hold off and maybe someday if I remember to get her into a class I’ll get her into Ballet. It’s just so busy now I forget things like that and I keep them so busy with playdates and so on.

I’m going to have Playgroups at my house on Mondays after Memorial Day. We may take field trips to parks and such but for the summer that will be my big day to play with people. Wednesdays will probably be Beach Day (depending on the weather).

So. . .the reason you haven’t heard from me is because I’ve been doing all this and more. Thanks for reading.

Today was Kindergarten Orientation for Hailey. We left Sierra to be babysat and went with Shawn and Jen to the Bus Stop for Oreintation. It was a crowd! there are 6 Kindergartens in her school. I knew 4 people from church that had kids going into Kindergarten and about 5 people from my neighborhood. Plus some Dad walked up to me and told me I looked really familiar. I told him that he had probably seen me at a grocery store.

They Swept Hailey and Shawn off to a classroom and we went to 3 Sessons of Orientation ourselves(without our babies!!!). Then they let the kids got through the lunch line and that’s where we met up again. So here are the pics of what I got.

We called and made a lunch date with Daddy and to encorage him to pick out his own new shoes. Good thing he came his feet have shrunk 1 1/2 sizes good thing he tried on shoes for himself. He should be more comfortable next time he goes to work. He has an interview in Kansas Wednesday and could use the new shoes for the trip. Then he took us shopping for swim stuff. What a sweetie!

Trying on Goggles for Swim Party tonight!!

Ansonia Nature Center and Playground. Today our Joy School group and some friends had a Field Trip. I punched the address into my GPS and followed it in the opposite direction that 2 friends went and was able to put sunscreen on 3 people, and pull out a tricycle from the car to ride on for a few minutes. I got there 7 minutes before them(GREAT thing the GPS system is!!! Especially in CT) we stayed there for 1 1/2 hours there’s a big playground that the 8 kids played at, the nature center could have been more fun if it were cooler inside and we could slowly move through it. It was very hot and humid outside today.

We headed straight over to the store and TaeKwonDo. I returned a few things to the store and got some freezer bars since I think Spring/Summer has finally hit. Hailey did extremely well in TaeKwonDo today. She kicked a balloon into the air 9 times in a row. While others in her class either did one of fumbled through 3 little help and got to 5. They also did some racing and Master Cho pulled the mat they were hitting together father away from Hailey so others could have a chance(even though she was already the farthest out to begin with.) She’s fast, flexible and full of brains! Master Cho checks their strength by having them clasp their hands over their head and he pulls on their arms to try to get them apart. From the beginning Hailey learned quickly that you need to be strong and hold on tight. Master Cho once asked her “Where’s you Mom?” and she pointed at me and he playfully laughed that he pulled one over on her. Now he will ask where Sierra is and she will hold her hands really tight and say “She’s over there but I’m not going to point to her” Now at night sometimes when we are giving out hug goodnight she won’t let go so I try to get her to pint at soemthing and she won’t do it. There’s no tricking her.

We Scurried home to give the girls a nap so I could scrub down the house and get dinner ready for the Sister Missionaries.(still have laundry to fold now I’m procrastinating folding the 5-6 loads) We had dinner with the sisters. and the girls ran over to play with the neighbor girls for half hour.

Nathan has a job interview for a position with GE in Kansas next week. I’m praying we get it. I think we need the move. I love it here, I’d miss CT my house, my friends and family in CT but Nathans job has had him unhappy for years and I loved Kansas when we visited. Suddenly there was a job opening in KCity so I told him to apply for it. We will see how it goes. Added Bonus – we can make a bunch of money (which we really neeeeeeeeed) on our house when we move. =) If we don’t get the job his Boss is more than happy to have him stay here with no raise and more work. Sounds great aye? Hopefully things will look up either way we look at it.

BEACH FINALLY!!!!!!

After running to the Gym this morning I was heading home in the beautiful weather to fold laundry and try not to run the gas through the car since gas prices have skyrocketed from 1.69/ gal to 1.95 and up to 2.09 for the CHEAPEST. But I got a call from Aunt Shana asking if we wanted to go to the Beach in Fairfield and of course I said YES! That’s way more fun than folding laundry. So. . . We stopped by McDonald’s, picked up some fruit and yogurt parfaits and played at the beach from 12 to 3 YEAH!! Then we got in the car and followed Shana to her house for popsicles. The cousins all played for about an hour and then we had to go home and get cleaned up(MESSY DAY)

What do you do when you have 22 awesome pictures (after cutting out 48?)I’ll put up what I can.

Happy Mothers’ Day to all the moms. I usually leave the blogging to Devanie, but I’m making an exception today to let me wife know how much I appreciate and love her. Devanie is an exceptional mother that is blessed with unearthly patience and unselfishness. She is unceasing in her concern for her daughters, family, and everyone around her. Her only fault is that she is very concerned what others think of her, but that drives her to continually improve and is one of the reasons I love her most.

I know many of my sisters and sister-in-laws exhibit the same or similar qualities that make them great mothers. My hat is off to all of you, and may you enjoy some well deserved time-off and tender care on this Mothers’ Day.

I love you, Devanie.

Well, we have had a few things happen in the last little while. I guess I can write a few words today. In Preschool we have been putting together things for the kids Mothers Day presents(books and cards) I’m glad that I get the week before mothers day because a couple weeks ago the kids did some great artwork and I didn’t pass them to the next mother like I was supposed to so it’s going to be full of suprizes. Not for me, but the 2 other Moms. Tomorrow we will wrap them up and the kids get to give them to the moms to hold onto til Sunday.

We had the Rainbow Vacumme Saleperson come to our house and show us the NEW air filtering, dust grabbing vacumme (I got an air scenting machine!! FREE and 2 FREE nights at a hotel) We are thinking about going to Cape Cod, MASS or Hershey, PENN we can just drive to them easily. But anyways, If I call you be prepared to say YES! The vacumme is really cool (we didn’t get one YET) maybe somewhere down the line after we make a million dollars on our house we will get one for the next house. My Friend and her 2 kids sat in for the show and it kept them well entertained for almost 2 hours. Great babysitter!!!

AnyHow, Things are going well, and life is keeping busy, I signed up with a Gym again today. Gotta work off all the good food I make!
