Happy Birthday Mel!!!!
Sorry I missed the lunch date. I have something for you.
SO after yesterday I soaked in the jaccuzi for at least 1/2 hr. Coconut bubbles, warm water and not a care in the world while sinking in and soaking it up. Nathan walked in just as the water got cool and he turned on the hot water to keep me warm. What a sweetie.
Today I went to the gym and did a cardio workout on the Precor for 32min and Eliptical Trainer for47 min, burned about 850 calories but have millions to go. I’m trying to lay off the weights now that I have bulked up now my target is getting those new muscles to work off the chub. So I’m working extra hard(2 workouts instead of 1 and for longer than 30 min). I hope to see results soon. If not I just won an auction on E-bay for Thermal Carb which is HARD TO FIND on ebay and my guess is because it works so well. My sister used it a few months ago could only afford the free cleanser and 1 bottle but she says she’s still losing weight from it. I’m trying to do it on my own, but I think I’m giving up that battle and moving on to add to it a little boost. If it doesn’t at least I’ll be healthier for it. I got an awesome deal. The cleanser and 3 bottles for 69.90 shipped when on the website the cleanser and 1 bottle are 79.95 + 6.95 shipping I think. I think I got pretty lucky and JUST in time. My sister paid $86 for hers. And I get 2 more mo.
The girls really enjoy the gym. They have a Day Care there that’s as good as a Preschool. Plus it’s the only place I will let them color since we took them away at home so they look forward to getting to color there. Sierra threw a fit today when we left though because she didn’t get to finish her picture. I told her she could finish Monday. I think she’s still burned out from yesterday and waking up at 5:30 AM
We went to a playdate and lunch at a neighbors house. It was nice. The girls had fun playing with new toys that they don’t have and the spent a long time playing on the little slide they had. Got home at 3 for naptime. It’s 3:33 now
We got home at 7PM today.
It’s been busy but FUN!
1st the girls went to Ballet with a friend
then
we picked up one of their friends to go Blueberry picking. I met a caravan of 4 cars to head out they all followed me and we made it there safely. =)
The girls and friends loved the ride on the “Blueberry Ferry” a big blue truck with seating and railing on the back. we headed out to pick blueberries and I took pictures with a friends camera because in my rush to get out the door for the long day ahead I forgot the camera. Hopefully I’ll be seeing the pictures someday. maybe not today.
AnyHoo!!!
We(I) had to rush to pick the Blueberries because Hailey had to get back to TaeKwonDo we made it!!! 10 min late but we made it!!!! the 27 min drive took 20 and I hit a LOT OF REALLLY SLLLOOOWWW STOPLIGHTS! The girls however did not rush to pick blueberries Sierra did the sorting. I’d throw in a couple redish berries to keep her busy and if a stem happened to be on one she would pick it off. She loved eating them right off the bush. Hailey picked berries, ran off with her friends and came back to continue getting all the ones without bug bites very carefully.
At TaeKwonDo Hailey practiced her Form to get her Green Belt (the test is in 2 weeks) She’s really great with her kick and breaking technique. Last Tuesday we tried out another TaeKwonDo place and though it was cheaper it was pretty lousy. I’m hoping when I get the courage I can talk Master Park into reducing out monthy payments. It’s pretty budget consuming. I hope we can keep her in she’s so great at it. I asked her if she like the Other TaeKwonDo place she said she did. The I asked her if she wanted to quit the World Champion one and she said no, she wants to go to both and not go to ballet. They both have VERY different teaching styles. Ballet is considerably less expensive but it is also ending in 2 weeks.
And so
We watched out the TaeKwon Do window and saw the Parking lot get paved. The girls friend(Boy) was there they were all very excited to watch it. They had a dump truck, paving truck, and a steam roller.
The the 4 of us trotted to the car to get over to the friends house to babysit him and his sister while the parents went to a movie. The 4 of them had fun. I walked back and for the between the pool that Sierra played in for HOURS and the Computer that Hailey played on for HOURS. That is so typically Hailey and Sierra. Sierra loves the outdoors Hailey loves learning on the computer.
Made some phone calls while watching kids.
5:20PM thinking about dinner.
What’s Nathan going to eat when I get home? I called him he didn’t care. So I ordered pizza from a good Italian Restraunt with some salads for all of us to eat when the parents came home. It was delivered 10 min after they got home. We ate. I gave out coupons to my friend and I packed up.
Home and worn out!!!!!!
My workout at the Gym yesterday KILLED ME and I HURT today. I hope It goes away by morning so I can get another hour or so in tomorrow morning before my lunch date with another friend.
Yesterday I took The Jeep in for service and got a free brake inspection the took off one tire and called me into the shop. There’s a huge metal tear in my axle that’s leaking grease. They said it happens to all cars after a while. It’s freaky looking but they said it’s still drivable. at $200 I’m going to see if it’s drivable to go price shopping for a better deal. Oh and the Serpentine belt is cracking up. They said it could last 5 years still. Their regular service was 32.xx and the rest of my fixings will cost another $360.00 Aye!
OUCH my back. I Quit for the day! Sorry Hun.
GOTCHA!!!! Awards.
OK here’s the latest. . .
Since we have been having trouble getting the girls to listen Nathan devised a plan to see if our positive reinforcements will work. When he was in Elementary school they gave out GOTCHAS. If anyone was caught in the act of doing something nice for someone or doing service without being asked to they were surprised with a GOTCHA AWARD. Their Names were written on the back of them and placed into a container for the prize drawing at the end of the year. It worked so well on Nathan and in his school he figured he would try it on the girls.
So Family Home Evening came along Monday night I taught a lesson about how saying our prayers and doing good things gives us armor and protection against Satan and Nathan followed by telling us about the game. One thing different about the STOUT GOTCHA game is that when there’s an argument and it needs to be resolved Mom or Dad take out a gotcha award and whoevers name is on it they win the fight and it is removed from the drawing. Once one earns 10 gotchas Daddy takes the one out to do something special(store to get a candy, toy or out to ice cream etc.).
Haileys got 3 Sierra’s got 2 and we haven’t had to pull any out.
When we used our obediance charts and the girls got stickers if they were good that day, that worked really well. I forgot all about it though so if gotchas don’t work we can go back to Obediance Charts. Once the whole piece of paper was filled up with stickers we did something special. I just need to remember to stick to the plans.
Here’s what the Gotchas look like.

How do you get your kids to listen? or Do something they do NOT want to do?
One reader suggests:
Try asking your girls what they did wrong and have them tell you how they make feel and then ask them if they really want to make you feel bad. Girls especially are sensitive to that and that might get them thinking before they act. Really make a big deal out of being upset.
Also you can try when you give them rules have them tell you the rules and have them tell you what will happen if they break the rules. For some reason when they tell you, it is harder for them to break the rules, it is kind of like writing something down helps you remember better, them repeating it back to you is making the rules more memorable in their mind.
Eye contact is important to, if they don’t look you in the eye and repeat back what you say then they don’t have to listen.

Babysitting I had 5 Kids. 5 years to 4 mo.
I must admit it got a bit crazy at lunch time, but just in time without warning, Nathan arrived home, tried to help with the baby but to no avail(while I cooked noodles) We switched tasks. I was able to rock the baby to sleep. Then we walked past each other and said we didn’t really want to go through the whole ordeal again.
We successfully fed the remaining 4 then another 1 showed up with the parental units. But the baby was sleeping so the 5 rowdy dows would have to seal their lips while eating Pasta Roni (white shells $ cheddar .25 cents per box w/coupon and sale our favorite!!), and enjoy the doughnuts outside. They had fun playing on the trampoline, but the need for naps came quickly. So off went 3 and 3 remained. One sleeping babe and 2 playful girls. Soon the 2 will sleep and one little babe will be playing and rolling on the floor with me.
So here’s Doughnut pic.
