Most of a day at home. How do you calculate 1 hr tough EdgeFlex Class into Miles walked for the Family Walk Across America? ummm. . .
I went to my Gym class with a friend and headed straight home for a rest and to spend the day with the girls.
Sooo. . .We watched the Fox and the hound together, then They just wanted to play in the kiddie swimming pool all day so after lunch(I cooked pancakes for the girls. . .3 kiddie pancakes for Sierra and 4 for Hailey(musta been good pancakes, they never eat soo much, or they were just very hungry) from 1:30 for 4:45 I watched them from the kitchen as they played on the trampoline, colored with chalk colored themselves with chalk, took a few dips in the pool, filled the pool 2x’s, painted with water, played Dressing up for a Wedding(colored in chalk all over to make their clothes) and time for dinner. Leftover pizza and homemade french fries.
I spent the day making Creme’ Brule, freezing onions, making rice pudding, and doing laundry.
Bedtime 7:15
Hailey’s practicing reading and doing well.
Sierra picks out I spy books and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
I leave for Girls night out with Nathans sisters and our neice.
I think Nathan aught to go out with his sisters. I either never have anything to contribute of I can’t get a word in edgewise. Seems someone else always has something better to talk about than what I have. I didn’t get anything accomplished either. However I did get a nice break and the Cafe is a nice hoppin little place to take a break.
There was a 2 man band at the Cafe playing keyboard and guitar. While sitting there I got to think about my Dad because the setting the Keyboard was at was Organ music for some of the time so I got to hear some of my dads playing without him there. Wish I could hear him more often. I love you Dad. Miss you very much! Hope you can come visit sometime soon.
Martha was right! IT IS THE BEST BEACH IN CT!!!
I hopped in the car after the trip to the gym and headed up to a beach. It was a beautiful day and I knew it had to be spent at the beach. However, I’m not very happy with the beaches we have by us. So I heard about one with nice sand and clean like a swimming pool.
It was FAR BETTER than I had imagined. It’s off I-95 exit 72 called Rocky Neck
There were NO rocks on the beach the sand was almost a fine white powder, the water was cool, the girls didn’t complain about the few pieces of seaweed that drifted in the water I actually had to carry Sierra Screaming “I don’t want to go” all the way under the train tracks. They have a concession stand and showers too!
We built a great Sand Castle with a moat and then as the tide came in we built a huge wall around it to see how long it could stay up. It lasted longer than the 2 boys and their Dads right next to us. Sierra asked me to dig a hole for her to sit in. I buried her and we tried to protect her from the tide too(really cute). Then we played a little longer we brought our friend Minha with us and she came down to the water to watch the girls see the castle disappear and bury Sierra again along with another 3 year old girl that wanted to get in on the action.
Hailey really enjoyed jumping over the waves and making friends. It was a really fun 2 hours the trip up and back was another hour each way but worth it.
My pictures are of the beach not really my girls it was really nice and pretty packed. Parking was $7 and there’s a campground nearby.
Family Home Evening was good too. We had dinner on our bed together had a piece of a caramello bar while watching the Olympic Games(Mens Volleyball, Sycronized swimming, boxing, and updates) then joined at the table for a lesson on Loving and Accepting People who are Different. Sang songs had a prayer and worked with Hailey to spell her name with an Upper Case H and lowercase ailey because that’s what her K readiness papers wanted her to learn before Kindergarten. sooooo. That’s all set. She did like to write in all Upper Case. I hope she can get out of the habit before school.

It’s amazing what a little caffeinated soda around 11 can do for me.
Happy 7th Anniversary To Us!!!
Nathan got a card from me this morning. and when he came home from work I was freshening up for our date when he suprised me with a Dozen red roses. and Sierra popped a card out for me. It was very cute. I love flowers. I was a florist for a while before I got married and loved arranging flowers and selling them. I really like them and rarely get them so when I do I make a big fuss because it’s SOOOOOO SPECIAL!!
We really enjoyed out Outing to Dinner at Cancun Charlies Mexican Restraunt. I’m sure I could be better company but He’s stuck with what he got. For some reason I don’t speak much at dinner, probably because 1. Don’t Talk with your mouth full and 2. My Parents probably always told us to be quiet at the table(7kids) So I’ve never really been able to carry on a good conversation at the table. So If you ever want tme to open up and talk take me grocery shopping, on a long car trip, or to the Mall. then you may hear from me. While at dinner I was suprised once again this time with a GOLD Mickey Mouse Charm for my Anniversary Bracelet. Sounded like we weren’t going to be able to afford one this year, but somehow he managed to steal my heart again. The card was Very Sweet and His company is always wonderful.
Sunday Dinner, 3 birthdays and an anniversary to celebrate. We had Quite a fun celebration for Anuts and Uncle and ourselves at family dinner tonight. The Sloppy Joes were great the salad with CT grown lettuce was great and so was the company.
Church was uneventful, no almost-broken fingers, no major illnesss, no church away from home. Just nice. Except the part where Sierra cried and fussed going out the door because she couldn’t pick up her had with Daddy.
I’ll leave today at that.
G-Night!
We spent an hour this morning skimming thru the 2004 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies as a family. Having the DVR recorder on the TV has been sooo great. We haven’t had to watch a commercial for quite some time and I can pause my shows whenever a duty calls.
After running franticly thru the mall this morning with Hailey trying to find a birthday present for her friend we made it to the early morning party.
I headed home for breakfast and a shower. Only to scoop up Sierra and head back to the party to pick up Hailey, dreading a trip to a grocery store on a Saturday. All I needed was lettuce for a salad for Family Sunday dinner. Luckily along the way we saw a sign in front of a house that said Lettuce, Tomatoes, Sweet Corn, OPEN. I stopped got a GIGANTIC head of lettuce for 1.50 some really nice squash, onion and corn, yeah!! I didn’t have to take the girls to a grocery store today! Saturdays are crowded shopping days and Tuesdays at the grocery store are always cram packed with seniors trying to get their 10 to 20% discounts I try to avoid shopping those days.
Headed home and invited the Pakistani neighbor boys over to jump on the trampoline. I met their mom just after we moved in about 1 3/4 years ago and never really see her. So I ventured out today. Knocked on the door and she answered. I asked her if her boys could come play on the trampoline and they were very excited. I looked into her home and saw a baby bassinet. She said Did you know I have a baby girl. I said oh really? Can I see her? So she went in and brought out her sleeping 3 week old baby girl. It was really sweet. Her hair had been shaved and was just growing back. I’ve heard some cultures do that so the hair will come in evenly. Now I want to bring her dinner sometime. I had the boys over for about 1 1/2 hrs and they bounced on the tramp the whole time for a split second the youngest (7) looked don thru the tramp and said There’s a 4-leaf clover, then his brother looked down and saw one himself, they both jumped down, picked them and said it was their lucky day. I took some pictures of them, then I pressed them for them so they could bring them home later. Shocking Aye? Well seems those were the only 2 in the yard but I will know next year where to find them. I have found 3 in my lifetime and 2 were in the exact same spot 2 years in a row. I asked the boys what their favorite food was and they said Pizza, I asked them what their moms was they said she eats Pakistan food. Then I asked if she eats pizza they said only with mushrooms and vegetables. Then I asked what their Dad’s fav food is and they said he’s a “Complete Mystery” these boys are 7 and 9 1/2. It was pretty cute. They were fun to have around although the girls got bounced around quite a bit with the big boys. No biggie though they had fun sitting on the patio leaning their hair back into the pool flipping back up and painting with it on the patio(creative creatures). I sent the boys home at 2:45 so I could get the girls down for a nap.
Watched What Not to Wear had a 20 min power nap, bothered Nathan for some attention and Blogged. It’s 6 and the family is sleeping. Guess I aught to wake em up so they will sleep tonight.
Hailey is an official TaeKwonDo Green Belt. . .Her test was tonight and even though it took 2 hours she did really well. Straight A’s. She has a much bigger trophy now. I’ll share the pictures when I can.

Went out on a Double Date with Adeeb and Minha they treated us to a Turkish restaraunt. It was suprizingly good, really good. THANKS GUYS!!! Jen thanks for Babysitting!! Minha and I have become FAST friends I’m really enjoying her company. She’s a Newlywed, new to America and hasn’t made a friend here yet. So I jumped in and we are having fun. I only wish I got to know her sooner(she’s been here 7 mo.). We went to JcPenny HUGE 70-75% off TONS of Summer things, clothes etc! Worth the trip Bargain Hunters!!!! Only wish we had more $ for a few clothes for Nathan and I. We also went to the new IKEA the babysitting is 45 minutes and we rushed thru the whole upstairs. I got a glimpse of the lower level before we had to leave. It’s quite a different shopping experience. Takes Way longer to shop at than WalMart. We then headed straight to the TaeKwonDo test, headed home 7:30 pm finally made it in time to drop off the girls so we could go out to dinner. Back home and it’s 10 now. I better nod off. =)
Checked email and. . .
Hailey’s 1st day of school is Sept 1. Ice Cream Social on the 30th. It’s coming so fast. The summer is flying by I don’t feel like I have done anything.
Went to the Gym this morning 72 minutes on the Precor Stepper 667 cal 6 mi almost 8,000 steps
Well I did 6 miles today but I cannot log it because we double booked it. I think I hit the whole 8 with all the Ikea shopping and running in the rain to the car way out in the parking lot, and walking all over JCPenny shopping the clearance section in the basement. maybe over 2 miles I can probably log an extra 1 at least. I’m heading that way http://www.peclogit.org/logit.asp . It was a busy day.
