Zach had an allergic reaction to PEANUT BUTTER today.

I made him a PB and J sandwich for the first time.

and before he even got out of the high chair he had red skin with white bubbly welts where the peanut butter touched his skin. He had rubbed his face and left hand I washed the PB off and gave him 1/2 a childrens chewable allergy pill It was nap time so I let him sleep and kept checking on his breathing which was fine. I’m wondering now if maybe becaue he has been sick lately lack of appetite that his body had a hard time with Jif creamy PB or if this will happen every time. I also wonder if it bothered him inside at all. He didn’t act like his mouth was hurting and it didn’t swell up.

Anyone know anything?

I’m not going to give up on PB. When he starts feeling better and stops with the diaper rash, diarreah, runny nose, partly cranky, throwing up, working on a case of dehydration sickenss – I will introduce it to him again. Maybe while I’m at the waiting room in the Pradiatricians office. I bet starting with a Recess PB cup would be a smooth introduction.

Is it really the PB. It coule be the Wheat bread. He hasn’t really ever eaten either of them. He’s never really been a bread eater. He will eat whole grain gold fish – and he’s fine with that whole what flour. HUmm. . . ???

Dr Tracy? Kristina, anyone know?

I’m well.

My belly is getting very big.

It’s a girl – If you didn’t know.

The girls have been on Vacation from school for 5 weeks so it’s been crazy having kids, holiday, unpacking from moving across the country, pregnancy, family etc. They are in year round school now and Sierra is going from full day kindergarten to 1/2 day. I’m going to be taking millions of trips to the school 3 to school and 3 back each day because there aren’t busses for the elementary school here. Ya, it’s pretty sucky. But Soon enough I’ll have a few minutes with just 1 really good baby that takes naps to be able to get out and coupon and start nesting before baby 4 arrives mid-late March.

Having Nathan working from home has been great he will babysit(the girls will happily find something to entertain themselves with and I will take Zach with me or go during one of his 2 naps so I can run to the store and back making trips kid free or just have Zach.

Luckily we haven’t been too sick. Zach is just starting a little something. His appetite is nil. He ate a little today and about 5 hours later ended up tossing it all up. I hope he’s not getting too dehydrated. He’s still very happy and learning new things all the time. Today at 13 months after 15 minutes he had left his sippy on the floor behind the sofa, I asked him where it was. I said, “Where’s your sippy? Your Drink?” and held my hand to my mouth. He immediately walked around the sofa and found it!!!! I’m still completely amazed!

I usually write a New Years Newsletter (Instead of a Christmas fiasco-whirlwind card) and mail them out. Hopefully I will be able to get around to it. If not, I’m continually journaling Here. Just read the past years Archive =) that will keep you busy!

Christmas 2006

I tried really hard to plan a surprise birthday for this year since he always does a really great job on my birthdays. I planned to secretly get him a gaming computer without him seeing any money on his bill. He found out because I’m really easy to read when he asks me questions and especially knows when I have something to hide and somehow eventually gets information out of me.

I think it worked out well on his part. Because after we moved into the house he built 2 new computers to play computer games with friends and family on. and saved a ton of money. I thought he was done building computers and he had mentioned a specific computer he had wanted. To make a long story short. Nathan has been enjoying his birthday and Christmas since we moved.

He got his Nintendo Wii and controllers and some games for it. Built his 2 computers, got a High Definition projection TV (yet to be mounted in the Game room in the basement)and Surround Speakers for it. Purchased a 400 disk DVD player, got all of his office Furniture to work from home. Got a water Softener for the house, and as you know we got new bedroom furniture. And 2 recliners for the Family Room.

I got to do a ton of shopping for the house. New bedding, and tons of odds ne ends and have enjoyed – and worried about- Grocery shopping without couponing but still trying to get good deals. And I have spent a ton! It’s been Fun. I got to buy gifts for family members and Do a Really GREAT Christmas for our family. Just about everything bought was within the last month and I didn’t kill myself over bargain shopping for things. I know the fun is coming to an end. We still want to add a kitchenette to the basement/Game room. With this years tax return we should be able to pay a small amount on a 7-8 passenger car leaving a small payment to pay on each month.

Christmas Morning
Some highlights were:
The Girls got exactly what they wanted Nintendo Star Wars Lego II for Hailey and a Pink Scooter with Flowers on it for Sierra. Zach got a great gift if he could have told me or Santa what he wanted he probably would have mentioned MagnaLogs which he got and Peek A Blocks.

The girls looked under the tree for their gifts from Santa but he left them by the fireplace unwrapped and ready to see. Zach Happily settled in by the plate of cookies that had bites taken out of them and he munched those and went from stocking to stocking stealing apples and nibbling what he could thru the morning.

We all got Season Passes to a local Theme Park for the summer!

I got Tahitian black pearl earrings with diamonds and the complete 12 piece silverware place settings by http://www.cutco.com I love CUTCO knives they just really work. Nathan also got me 5 piece set of cutco kitchen tools including a nice new pizza cutter and they all have lifetime warrantees! I also got $15 to Target which I’m excited to use at the yearly 90% off sale! That’s like $150 to me!
Nathan got a Braun 360 Complete Electric Shaver, Snow boots, his yearly box of cherry chocolates which he has come to dislike but used to love as a kid. But I give them anyways. Tradition and all. He also got DVDs Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2. The Davinci Code – We have yet to see, Nacho Libre, X-Men 3, and he got a PC game Battlefield 8142 or something like that. The girls got him a Foam Dart gun.

The girls also got Disneshopping.com Pajamas and Hailey and Zach got Disney Blankets for cuddling in. They all got more PJs. Books, and the girls opened board games from me on Christmas Eve. Hi Ho Cherry-o and Traffic Jam Jr.

I have to Run Zach just left me a present in his pants I need to take care of.

Here are some pictures of the past week and Christmas morning.

We Spent the Afternoon Snacking and had Grandma and Grandpa over to visit for a few minutes and gave them their Bears in Chairs Statue of everyone in their family right now! So no Divorces will be tollerated! Each person is a ceramic bear girls have bows, Nathan and I were able to choose eye colors and ages and tried really hard to match each person From Grandma and Grandpa Down to the newest 2006 additions to the family the twin boys. And as each year progresses if there are more additions we can add them on a sofa next to the clan. Each name of the Kids, Spouses Grandkids are all written right by the bear that was created for each person. It should be a pretty unique momento that people will have to visit and see to enjoy. I asked Grandma to take a picture and put it on her blog.

I spent hours in the kitchen Making Dinner. We were planning on having Nathan’s Brother Joe, wife, Susie and their 4 kids over for Christmas Dinner. I made the Turkey, Hand Rolled and rose dinner rolls, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Stuffing, a cheese ball, and tons more and Susie brought jello, deviled eggs, blackberry pie and helped make the yummy gravy. It was quite amazing this year. when we sat down to the table everything was perfect. The temerature of the food was just right. and nothing was so cold it was unpleasent to eat. It ALL turned out GREAT! for the 1st time!!! Usually there would be cold veggies, or we would be re-heating mashed potatoes or something. But Christmas night 2006 will always be remembered!

The kids each got a gift from Santas sack after dinner. Susie and I played Scrabble, Hailey and the kids played the Nintendoo Wii, and Nathan and Joe played the Battlefield 2142 game.

It has been an AMAZING Holiday Season for us. We feel so blessed and so fortunate to have the things we have and love entertaining family. The kids have so much fun, Nathan and I have someone to play with and we just LOVE family. There is nothing I need more than Nathan and family in this lifetime and I feel so blessed that we have all the extras and can enjoy and share them.

The party seemed to be a hit. I mean the 2 parties seemed to be hits! Home Runs actually!

Here are the pictures.

I don’t plan on having another party like it until next Easter possibly NEXT Thanksgiving. We will see as we recover from Saturday’s Christmas Party and prepare for our Christmas!

Hailey, Sierra and I are spending today and will be spending many days coming up working on the 4 months of school work the teachers have given to them to do in 5 weeks over break. We have about 1 1/2 months done on Sierras Math Box. And Hailey has finished her Science Book up to date and many math worksheets and just started her Reading book. We did a project on Gravity that was in it and they are dropping water down a cookie sheet covered in powdered sugar to see it ball up and see how fast it rolls down and collects more water and goes faster along the way. If that makes any sense.

News on work

We were thrilled to hear from Nathan’s boss this year. He got a little raise some really nice comments, got put in the top 10% talent for the second year and He will be migrating off his “tool” and starting another line of work soon. He also has a few new projects to work on to keep him busy too.

Gotta run.

I’ve planned a whole chritmas this past week to head our direction tomorrow.

Santa’s got gifts in his bag all wrapped and ready to go.

There are gifts under the tree.

I’ve been shopping for food for 2 days. I’ve planned a huge festive lunch and dinner.

We’ve baked and made candy.

I have some great things planned. Cookie Baking and decorating, gingerbread houses and train kits to make, Bingo Game, board games, and then theres the nintendo Wii, the pool and foseball tables, The Play/Dance/Nursery Room is clean and ready for a tornado, the “Drive-Thru” playhouse under the stairs should be fun.

Now we just cross our fingers and see if anyone comes.

If not, What a fun party day with the kids! ALL DAY!

Wish us luck!

Busy but procrastinating.

I don’t think any real work is getting done around the house. Seems lately I just postpone everything. I know I have a ton to do, but lack the motivation to get it done!
