Aurora got to see her first firework show on Saturday. It didn’t bother her at all. She enjoyed staring at the explosions.
Hailey and Sierra got their Hep A #2 shots on Monday. That afternoon the school had an all-out water fight on the lawn. All the kids brought cups with them and a towel. I brought Sierra to it since she has 1/2 day K. She had a really fun time. Zach got in on the action for a bit, and Hailey stayed in her classroom and took phone messages for Mrs. S. You see Hailey hates being dripped on by water.
Hailey go to go to the Zoo with her class and said she loved the park at the zoo because it had a see-saw. She also got to see the whitye alligator and the 6 baby green alligators. Plus they made it in time to see the elephaunt show.
I’ve been running around quite franticly arranging reunion stuff, making a sandbox in the back year, working on patio furniture stuff. Taking care of kids and trying to keep up with housework.
I made my to do list and I ran out of space to write on the 8X11.5 sheet of paper. I guess I’ll have to stop there and wait till I can throw out that list to even start another one. I just hope I don’t miss any important appointments along the way.
I got a new camera/camcorder for my birthfday I’ve been trying to figure out the best ways to take pictures with it. Its a High Definition recorder! Ya, Nathans really awesome. I love it! You can add lenses to it and filters and It even has a tripod. i think I will be able to be the photographer for the family reunion! That is if I ever get the drivers installed to download the pictures.
tee hee hee.
As a mother of 4 today. I was busy nursing a baby, changing 2 kids diapres, chasing to school 3Xs a day, and trying to keep my family fed and clothed and clean then I may not have that moment to say something. Like right now. I just passed by my computer while getting things for Hailey’s party tomorrow.
I have on my desk with me. . .Hailey’s B-Day cake mix and 2 other choices, frosting and 2 bags of goldfish waiting to see Hailey for decisions for her party tomorrow, while we bake 3 dozen blueberry muffins for her class, return phone calls and try to make dinner, and watch the babies and clean the house. Cheers to you who can get rid of your kids for 5 days. Some of us are connected to them all day. Aurora needs me, Hailey needs me Zach’s taking a 2nd nap and Sierra is at the neighbors.
Today I hustled 5 kids to a lemonade stand and we sat in the blazing sun for 1:20 min for $7.25 that much an hour wouldn’t be bad for those of you who can’t find a job and need some money. I left Aurora with a neighbor. Let Zach watch TV with the car running full blast while Sierra and 2 of her buddies waved down cars and ate popscicles.
While carrying 2 diaper cakes, the order form, the scissors, a roll of tape, and the camera; I managed to capture these in 85* weather:

If I give him a chance Aurora,
Zach LOVES to take care of you.
You are still so tiny and this was WAY to cute to pass up.
Plus we can show off you new hair-do
TOO CUTE TO PASS UP

Sierra went in for ear tube surgery yesterday.
Now we are “loud” when we talk to her.
I got a babysitter for Zach, Nathan had 4 simultaneous phone calls so there was no way he could watch Zach. I took Hailey to school. And Sierra, Aurora and I went to the hospital. Sierra was afraid at first – for the whole week leading up to the surgery. Once we got there I had her laughing so hard she said she sounded like a “witch” and it “hurt her throat” She did really well. We brought her stuffed bunny with her. The hospital gave her a teddy bear to hold onto. They took Sierra for anesthesia and I had to go to the waiting room. I knew she would be fine she was in a good mood.
When she woke up she was pretty tired looking. Her Teddy bear had a surgical mask and a blue hair bonnet/net on it. Her left ear hurt. She was monitored for 1/2 hour after and had a bump like a canker on her lip. The anesthesiologist said it was from the air tube they had to put in her mouth. So that bump bothered her. The Anesthesiologist also told me she was so BRAVE! She watched TV, ate ice chips, got Tylenol and got a wheel chair ride to the car.
I think it was a very nice invasive visit to the hospital for her. She got to wear a gown and slippers like Mommy did when she had her baby. So she was comfortable. She seemed very comforted – even without saying a prayer. Later I held her on my lap for a few moments before we left because she looked semi-sedated. Now all is well and the “growling” in her ear is gone. When it bubbled inside her head on the hospital bed she asked me to put my hear close to hers and listen to it. I never did hear it. imagine that! She was a brave trooper. now she will have all kinds of fun without being yelled at or having the TV so loud. she now listens at about 10 she used to listen at about 38. AMAZING!
Enrichment Leader
I have a new calling at Church. I’m the enrichment leader over the mint-classes that occur on a weekly basis and sometimes 2 a week. Like Scrapbooking or – bring- your-own project to work on Group, Card Group, Food 4 Fun, Playgroup, Basketball, Aerobics etc. I’ve been to many of these groups and I think things are going well as they are already planned out. I don’t know how much work will be involved with this there are a lot of people helping with the groups. You can bet I will try to throw a “Mommy Spa” day in there somewhere. I met with Lisa today to talk about some of what’s going on. We have more brain-storming to do I’m sure.
Last night I met a bunch of people at a party. One of those “We are selling this wanna buy it?” Parties. It had nothing to do with Enrichment but I did have fun. There was a “Cookie Lee” jewelry rep there and a lady that does “Layers” clothing and Vinyl Wall Lettering I can’t remember the exact name. I did find some things that I liked. I booked a jewelry show for August 28th. Around that time I’ll be sending catalogs and emails to you and trying to boost the sales of my party. Check out http://www.cookielee.com You can probably see other samples on ebay.
I found some great dress up jewelry at the party. For some reason jewelry makes me feel just a little better about myself. I also found a shirt at the “Layers” clothing rack. What’s weird is I had NEVER heard of ANY of these companies before and suddenly there were 3 in one party. Interesting. Their prices could use a lowering for sure. It was fun getting to know more people in the neighborhood “hood” =)

My friend Angelina said she is going to make a “Tag Rag” for Aurora. I’m looking forward to it. Although Aurora won’t really enjoy it for another 2 months or so. I’ll be sure to show you all what it looks like and if Aurora takes to it. I’ll recommend them to everyone with babies! You can go check them out on The Snobby Mommy link on the left of the page and see what you think of them too. That is one of those Baby shower items that are sure to be unique.
I’m going to be making baby hair bows for her to sell on her site too. I may be able to convince her that my Baby Diaper cakes take the cake! and try to sell them too. I’ll need to make mine look a little more professional, but that is a task I’m willing to enjoy doing just for the fun of it.
Going on a Date:
I’m going to check out movie times since I have a sitter planned for tonight for all 4 kids, and Nathan wants to see movies when we go on dates so I’ll try to find one of about 10 that we can enjoy together.
Not too much new lately. Trying to keep things as “low key” as possible. The kids have been having way more playdates than usual. I have 3 extras over now and was able to ship them off yesterday. I plan to do more exchanges and possibly be able to grocery shop without any kids.
