On my Kid Swap day off.
I felt like I was going to work today.
This morning I took Kids to school and Zach and Aurora to play basketball for 1.5 hours. after that I took the babies to Tana’s house So I could take my day off and get some things done I really wanted to. Zach cried and I stayed for a long time eventually taking Zach home and putting him in bed while I showered. He did not nap, but did rest and felt better after having his sippy and some teddy grahams in peace and quiet.
I got dressed up and ready to carry on through the day. I took Zach back and the drop off went a lot smoother. I gave them all homemade blueberry muffins and headed out the door.
I Headed to the boutique and stopped at “Sign Works” hoping I could get some vinyl lettering for the car and some “Squeaky Shoes Sold Here” signs. It took a while to figure out my layouts, thankfully it wasn’t too busy and I was able to just stop in whenever.
I got to the boutique and found out I made more money that I thought I would have. business seems to be going well, however – - -I still haven’t broken even for all the start up purchases I made. But soon, I just know it!
I had the people at the boutique move my Squeaky shoes to a front booth in the store for more visibility. I picked up some of my items to show to other boutiques and try my hand at that. I missed my 1st exit, I was pretty frustrated for that because there isn’t and exit for a long time if you miss that one, it ended up being a good thing because I was able to go to the Courthouse and Fill out all my paperwork and information to process my PASSPORT which was another item on my list that wouldn’t have gotten done had I not missed that turn – Devine Inter’miss’n'?
Then I drove blindly to a shop in a town near mine and hoped it was the one I had written on a paper and left at home. . .that didn’t work so well, I found the wrong shop thinking it was the right one, I still sold to them anyways and they are really interested in my squeaky shoes – they had someone else come sell squeaky shoes to them and they rejected them because their price wouldn’t budge. – I was very flexible and they said they would discuss it – and that they wanted me to bring my eastery frilly dresses in next February.
I headed back to the original destination – a shop in my hometown. But I was encouraged to swing by the Old Dress shop I bought my girls fancy dresses in. – Low and behold they were Shut down. So I ran to the $1 store and picked up poster board and posted a sign on the door that said. Looking for Dresses? try the boutique by wal-mart. They may just take it down and toss it, but it was a valiant effort. I stopped by a new dress shop near the mall and found that they really only do woman’s dresses formal, prom and some casual. they also sell the glass slippers in bigger sizes lie the ones I have in kids sizes at the boutique. I told the manager that if anyone was interested in the shoes in a smaller size they could just send their girls to the boutique – they had 1-2 styles of little girls dresses.
I went to the Shop near my house with about 30 minutes before I had to start picking kids up for Gymnastics and from the sitters. I dropped of the shoes – she loved them, she also loved the dresses and tuxedo. We worked out commissions – profits etc and wrote up an agreement I ran and took care of kids, and carpooling and went back after gymnastics to sign the paperwork and leave my products in the store.
I got home, made Taco Tots, Chicken quesadillas, listed 11 things on Ebay, folded some laundry, offered a haircut to Nathan and at 7:00 Nathan let me join the Book Club meeting in the neighborhood. It went well. the book they were discussing was a tree grown in brooklyn. I didn’t get to read it but go the whole synopsis, I finished Twilight and kinda missed out on the end cuz I was on the computer – so I have to re-listen to the last 1 hr of it.
Got home after the book club meeting, tried tohelp nathan figure out things for Grandpas website and we batted around some ideas. that took a while the I listed one more thing on eBay and Nathan asked for his haircut. I cut his hair and it had been a busy day.

This year you learned to read! Much better than last and with patience you read extremely well! It’s you that has the patience problem, you just want to be done with your work before you even start.
This year you excelled in Math even though you didn’t learn math in school. just at home and very occasionally. You are great with number crunching and money already!
You have been through a star wars phase, a little pet shop phase and now a poke’mon phase.
You have outgrown the princess phase and you will actually play with barbies now. you like to dress in fancy dresses but not dress-up costumes like you did for years -you are so girly and always have been. you are very good at coordinating colors and outfits. (Mom and Hailey still have a lot to learn)
You have grown a few inches and a few pounds. Still in the 50% for everything. You have lost about 7 baby teeth. and your 2 front teeth are still coming in.
There have been many times this year that we have sat down to cuddle in front of the TV and I’ve noticed a growth spurt wondering where my little girls has gone – you are still little but not the size of a 3-4 year old anymore. You are beautiful, strong and still very strong willed.
Here’s to you and may you live many many many long years

Happy Birthday Party Sierra!
On Wednesday you will be 7.
The friends that came to the party were
Shaylee, Kyerra, Madeline, Chloe, Emma, Hailey, Zach and Mom & Dad
You are totally into Pokemon right now and you were spoiled this last week by grandma and your friends at the party!
Grandma and Grandpa ordered your ice cream cake. it was delicious!
We played Duck Duck Goose, Tag, Dyed Easter Eggs, Made a KoolAid Drink Fountain, made Sugar Cookies Cooked, frosted & Sprinkled them, had cake, sang Happy Birthday, and shipped all the kids out the door with goodie bags within 1 1/2 hrs – my fastest birthday party by far & I captured a ton of pictures and videos (thanks for sleeping peacefully Aurora!)
This morning we drove 1 hour to get to Thanksgiving point for their Easter Egg Hunt that started 1 hour later than their website said, AND was freezing and not so well staffed for the amount of people coming and the amount of money that was spent. We did a couple activities, did the 0-3 year egg kill and left. I was able to pass out some squeaky shoe cards to people interested in the cute shoes all the kids were wearing.
After Sierras Birthday party I took 3 of them to the bank, then to Target, passed out more cards and showed Aurora off in her dress, Exchanged a broken toy, picked up a cushy, posh, Britax car seat for Aurora since her 7-year old car seat was pretty well used. I put her in it and she LOVED it!
I bumped into my friend Candace at the Boutique when I went to check in on business. A few more dresses sold, some squeaky shoes and a dress were on hold! Candace complemented me on my dress and my Easter hat and that made me feel great, she said I looked young which I’m still in my 20s so I should! She said it went together perfectly and I looked skinnier.
When I went home I gave my neighbor, Karen a new blender for Easter – She hasn’t had one in a long long time and I always think of her when I make smoothies and how she doesn’t have a blender so I splurged and got them one. She HUGGED me & thanked me. She too complemented me on my dress saying I look great in it and was glad I could “pull off a dressy look”- she was sad she couldn’t-even though she really can! This is the dress I got at Dillard’s in Texas and had many people to give me input and feedback on my clothing choices. – So thanks to Y’all down there!
I picked up Arbys for Everyone. Nathan and His Bros are having a boys night playing Battlefiels here at the house, so I bring in the treats. Strawberry smooties are next on the list after the Dinner, Mt. Dew, Cadbury Cream eggs etc!
Big Day tomorrow and late night tonight!

HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY!!
Again we woke this morning to Green Milk left by the Leprechauns and Lucky Charms!
Lucky the leprechauun pulled out, green things from all over the kitchen. He placed all the green things in the fridge at the front, put green cups, cans of green beans and peas, green medicine bottles, baby bottles, cleaing pruducts, towels etc on the island and made it very GREEN!
I serves peas with lunch and poured from a green bottle of soda into green cups. ANd green celery with Ranch dressing in a mostly green and shite bottle.
We also had green cupcakes and Mr. Lucky the Leprechaun separated all the green M&Ms out into their own little bowl.
I left Green St Pattys Day shirts out for the girls to wear to school. I’ll try to snap a picture of them in it.
Today I took 3 neighbor kids while thier Moms went Substitute teaching. Zach as had a playmate all morning – it’s been good for him.
Maybe we will order Chineese food off the Green menu tonight and make sure we get beef w/ broccoli to go.
Happy St. Patricks day. Fun Fun Fun.
If we don’t do Chinese maybe all my Sibling family memebers will remember the Green Hamburgers we were served as children from AM/PM gas stations. We aught to do that again sometime that would be sensational! maybe we can order them shipped to go – wouldn’t make any difference in the taste.

Leaping in with my eyes shut!
I just calculated the amount of money I can bring in.
I’ve ordered Fancy Kids dresses wholesale to send to the Boutique to sell. I got them in today. They shipped Tuesday AM. Can you believe it? 2 days and they were here!
I’m taking them to the boutique in the morning and will start selling for Easter. I got some really cute things. The weather was rainy so I hope this weekend will prove better because they are going to hang the dresses near the doors and on the sidewalk to attract buyers.
Potentially I can make $700 profit after fees in 2 months. and as summer gets closer and my summery clothes go I should do well with that too.
I jumped in to this business with my eyes shut. The store up the street is closing because she doesn’t have time to sell the dresses and make alterations. mine are kids dresses that don’t need alterations they will just be sold how they are. Super cute Fancy Frilly dresses for Church, Easter Weddings, Baptism, communion etc. I think this is the market for them especially with the other store closing and If I don’t have to pay a huge monthly rent to start at a boutique I can So many little church going girls out here. I even spent $105 the other day on new dresses for the 3 of mine – I’m sure there are other moms out there like me. My dresses will be less to start with. but I’ll be upping the prices as they become more popular.
Cross your fingers, I also decided to get some little white 5 pc tuxedos for boys blessings and “Glass Slipper” shoes for the dressy dresses. Let’s see how it goes.
Also JUMPED in Blind with this. . .I have ordered “Squeaky Shoes” which are ADORABLE! They come in next week I hope and those should bring in a huge profit and we will see where the money is really at! COOOOOOOOL huh?
Thanks to Cookie Lee Jewelry I’ve made some start up money, but I have a plan written on paper that I’ll be helping Nathan open up Jonah’s restaurant somewhere. we just need to get the flow coming in. It’s pretty fun.
Today I got to See my friend I met in CT Jenny E over in my links. She was driving thru the area and we got to meet up for lunch and she came over to play for a while while I made trips to the school and gymnastics and looked through my dress, shoes, hair clips and tuxedo orders she got to share in the joy with me! Thanks for coming up and for helping me clear out Hailey and Sierras closet. not there’s actually room to hang the clothes that fit them! Nathan and I met her at GoldenCoral and we visited with her, Abby and Max. Then I got a ride home with her because Nathan had to get back to work so I sent him with the car.
