Things going on.

Well there are almost always tons of things going on. I haven’t posted everything so here goes.

Kids are off track.

I borrowed a bunny for a day so they could play with it.

We got the sandbox up and running again.

Weeded the yard and planted flowers and plants.

Picked up grass seed to re-do the front left lawn.

Cleaned the house.

Had a play date with some of Sierra’s friends to see the bunny.

Had a popcorn party – we have yet to clean up.

Today we are going to a church playgroup for lunch to have a Teddy bear picnic.

The bunny is gone so we cannot take it as our teddy bear. It was so cuddly and soft! We will be it’s daycare when the family goes on vacation.

Tomorrow I take all the kids to the Gym to babysit at the Daycare – I’m still a substitute there and get called very rarely.

I have a house to clean floors to sweep and mop.

Our I-robot vacuum must have been pounded on a little too hard by Zach because it’s broken and we have to get it repaired now. – thank goodness it’s under warranty.

Hopefully we will get some of the kids toys picked up before Emily and her mom come see the place.

We made pancakes this morning and pot roast on Sunday.

Aurora says “agin” when she wants us to repeat things over again. She also likes to say “no no no no no?”. and “uh oh!” when something drops.

Gotta run pack our picnic lunch and head out to the church.

This afternoon is Irish Dance for the girls.

I’m hoping to get my Squeaky Shoes in this week soon! I ordered 69 more pairs.

Sierra has been very helpful with everything lately. I love it! she does things without being asked and was very helpful getting everything we needed for breakfast and making it.

Hailey on the other hand, has some learning to do. She’s very self absorbed and thinks mostly of her pokemon, digimon and the things she’s playing with or watching and doesn’t really notice the world going on around her. – Sounds a little like me. Huh? Nathan would totally agree.

Zach is speaking more – UpaDanya is one of his favorites. ya. . .you’ll never guess what it means so I will tell you. “Time to get up for Dinner” or “Time for Dinner”

Sierra and I built a Cardboard Castle. She read about it in the book = “Never a Dull Moment” so we had to do it. I cut holes in the tiered cardboard so she can stand up in it.

Hailey had a Habitat project and show at school that I helped with and went to. – Not such a great project outcome, because we didn’t really kill ourselves over it. . .after all it’s 3rd grade. She was pleased with her work.

I totally forgot. Emily is right I am supposed to be in town for her visit on Wednesday. We will leave on Thursday so we can see herWednesday. I need more time to get ready anyways. Sorry about that.

Aurora was having so much fun in her sink bath the other day. I asked her to lick the water and she would and her smiles and glee got so big I couldn’t help but grab the camera to show it off. I was out of room for a recording on my HD video, but her sounds and noises just heleped to make the fun absolutely adorable.

Well, I’m getting ready for a road trip- just me and the 4 kiddos – it’s really the only way Nathan can get a lot of work done and get a “Vacation” I’m sure he will jsut order pizzas and work and maybe take a break once in a while to watch Star Treck, Battlefield Galactica, Malcom in the middle, American Idol, Arrested Development and maybe some Curb Appleal .

This week we have been finishing up school, ending eBay auctions, shipping packages, dropping off White dresses at the boutique and ordering my shipment of squeaky shoes in, and tying up loose ends before we head out to see Grandma and Grandpa lay and cousins and all the family out there.

SURPRISE!!!

Thomas we will have to go out and do something! Mexican is sounding really good to me lately and out biggest loser diet doesn’t start till after I get back so this is the last time you all will get to see me FAT! after that I will probably start working on becoming a personal trainer. Becasue after I hit the gym and loose the weight the best ways to keep it off is to keep going and motivating others RIGHT?

I may even be out there for Cinco De Mayo! Let me know if there’s anything fun going on in Reno!

Field Trip.

Sierra’s class and well, 5 busses worth of 1st graders went on a field trip today. I headed over before the group got there and showed Zach and Aurora around.

THEY LOVED it!!!
Zach was totally in his element with the Tractor. He LOVES cars, trucks, trains, busses, horses, cows and so on.

We snapped pictures of Sierra getting off the bus. She came over to give me a hug. I left becasue it was chilly and 5 busses of 1st graders learning about agriculture from station to station didn’t seem like the best place for Zahc and Aurora. I would have loved to go with Sierra. But couldn’t leave the babies, so I’ll be sure to ask her how it all went. She’s also going to see airplanes. and go to a park in the sprinkling rain.

Aren’t they great? I love the ones with the kids covering thier noses and plugging them becasue the stentch of the farm. glad we don’t live any closer to it.

Funny tidbit from Zach. as we were driving to the farm we went over some bumps in the road that made him bounce a lot. in his 2 year old voice said, “Mom, don’t crash a car.” I had him repeat it becasue I wasn’t sure I was hearing him right. then it dawned on me that we did hit a pretty big dip in the road and he was jostled a lot. Hence, the worry, “Mom, don’t crash a car Mom.” We have been playing too much with his hot wheels crashing lately I guess.

I’ll start by saying not much is going on, then magically I’ll find a million things to say.

What’s Been Going On.

Aurora found the bag of uneaten Easter candy in the pantry and remained ever so quiet eating the wrapped candy until it opened on it’s own. Luckily Sierra ran down to get the camera so we could share our closet eater with you!

I’m losing weight 10 Pounds so far
Kids Sick, Puking
Mom sick
Dad busy real busy with work, big loser, Grandpa S’s site, Gombos consulting, family life, dishes, folding laundry, missionary discussions – last one was last night and he’s been sick.
Mom getting posture figured out. May need to see a surgeon for “Lymphoma?”
Aurora Walks
Aurora stands up by herself and gets stuck in a legs wide position trying to get herself up to walk but she can do it standing from a sitting position on her own and she now has 4 teeth 2 bottom 2 top.
Zach is speaking a lot more now – and sometimes TOO much!
Zach has discovered an absolute love of books
Hailey has practice tests to to for CAT tests
Sierra Is upper middle class in school
I got to have lunch with both girls
I play basketball on Thursdays
Hailey and Sierra have Tumbling Thursdays
Irish Dance is on Tuesdays and Saturdays

Zach has found a favorite drink from walmart. usually i get crystal light single packets or KoolAid but we found Apple Flavored sugar free pouches and he loves the apple juice taste without the calories

Ward Missionaries Came over with a Priest to practice being a missionary bu using our family to help – that was over an hour visit. Hailey was still answering the questions quite well.

Mom took away all visible pencils, pens and coloring tools to teach the girls a lesson.

Today it rained a bit snowed a bit and the wind blew. It got cold! very cold. I didn’t realise how cold until after school and after dinner when I took the 4 kids for a ride around the neighborhood to drop off their pampered chef orders. We went up the road after a quick stop at the house to cut up apples celery and carrots for our horse friends. I had driven near their corral and they came RUNNING to the car. I felt bad so we went home and got them the GOOD FOOD. We stopped by a locals home to see who the owners were. The little old lady wasn’t certain but they weren’t hers. – She is a lady that has called me ac couple times about my Visiting Teaching she cannot go to work because her immune system is broken. She was sweet and she watched the horses run to our car and watched as we fed them the treats. and waved and waved as we headed back to the house. listening to Zach say Bye, bye Horsey, and making a neighing sound most of the way home.

I had quite a busy day with the kids.

Started with getting schoolwork together, making french toast, changing diapers, trying to eat something, I was getting ready to go to the gym when Aurora decided it was nap time at 8:30 AM so My babysitter would have to wait – especially since Sierra was sick. Yep . . He strep throat crept back up on her and I kept her home from school to get it checked out with the doctor.

I told the Dr I was no good at giving my kids amoxicillin right now. It’s 20 doses total 2 times a day for 10 days – that’s a heck of a lot of remembering for having 4 kids. So I asked him for the 5 day once a day cure. he told me there’s a SHOT! a 1 time shot!! OH I was in heaven when I heard that and immediately requested the Penicillin shot! Sierra was OK with that I told her they might have to shoot her bum, she just wanted it in her arm, at least she WANTED the shot right? well, through much screaming and a patient mom coaxing sierra we ended up holding her down on the table for the shot. and now my friends. . .We don’t have to worry about missing doses of medicine for 10 days!!! =) So worth it! I got her a Chocolate milk shake after.

It was Hailey’s Day to have a parent/ grandparent to lunch. Since Sierra’s appointment took 20 minutes longer than expected – we had to sit in the waiting room to see if she had any serious reactions to the shot – I had to take her to the school for Lunch with Hailey.

I’m looking horrible at this time I haven’t showered in a couple days which is just NOT me and I haven’t got my workout today and I have sick kids and I have to go to a lunch and Doctor and drop Zach and Aurora off at a babysitters. – a day when I woke up in the morning and thought – I should take a shower – but didn’t because I thought for sure everything would go smoothly and I’d get a chance to get to the gym. Didn’t happen I looked horrible and after a quite pleasant lunch of Pizza Salad Carrots and bringing Hailey a Strawberry milkshake – her favorite for dessert, we walked her to her class and her teacher runs up to us with a CAMERA. she wanted to take a picture so she could put it someplace for Grandparents day. Grandma and grandpa couldn’t make it because they just left for a 3 week tour of Egypt. It would have been a much better picture with grandma than straggly mom and sick Sierra in it. oh well . . .

If you couldn’t tell, it was a busy day. Nathan went to help Aaron put a TV up and get it working. I tried getting kids in bed at 8 and thought a blog and a bubble bath sounded soothing. . .not so – Sierra is down here throwing a ratting bell rolly toy around with Zach and falling on her sore bottom and crying about it and it’s 1/2 hr past bedtime, but Hey!, I got to write it down. Gonna try the bed thing again and hopefully get that bubble bath I desperately need!

Did I mention all my eBay auctions, shipping listing, ending, 6 big boxes in the mail, Jewelry from Kim, some business supplies for my Cookie Lee shows, the pampered chef order. the messes kids make, the food to prepare. the calls to make to make sure everything is OK with all my loved ones and get my jewelry form NV shipped back to me. Trying to get Daycare set up for Friday for some of my consultants to go shopping at the jewelry showroom.

Thank goodness for Prozac! Without it I think my kids would have to have ear plugs all day long! – -I’m sure Nathan wishes he had some so he didn’t have to hear my complaining love you hun!

Keepin it together.

That’s just what we are all doing.

Working, playing, reading books, watching conference on TV, taking walks on nice days.

the other day I took the 4 kids
Hailey and Sierra on scooters, Zach in his Squeaky shoes and Aurora in the stoller. I braved my rollerblades again after the Sprained Tailbone inncodent a month or so ago and pushed the double stoller with 1 sometimes 2 kids in it around the park trails. we visited the horses, fed them grass and petted thier heads.

I didn’t fall!

We also had the Ward Missionary leader and his son learning to be a missionary over for the 3rd Discussion lesson. Hailey had all the answers again and never ceases to Amaze the ward mission leader. Sierra did exremely well with her answers too!

Gotta get kids in bed for school in the AM. and I have kids coming over on Mondays and Fridays to be babysat and I can swap off with the mom anytime I need to. She plays basketball with me and Substitute teaches at the schools.
