These Little Wonders
Time Stands Still
In These Small Hours
My Baby Girls.
Hailey and Sierra. Do you ever feel time and life are slipping away? My 2 Oldest Little wonders just grew up a little more today.
Hailey and Sierra are 21 Months apart.
When Sierra was born Hailey kinda hid behind the table in the hospital room a little afraid of what she was doing and why Mom and Dad were holding a baby.
When she was turning 3 and Sierra was in her 2’s They Potty trained at the SAME TIME! Hailey would have to use the bathroom so often I figured with her tiny body frame and bladder a diaper was the way to go. I was right. They trained together well.
When Hailey Started School Sierra Cried when she couldn’t go with her. I started Teaching Preschool to Sierra the same year.
They were both ready for Nintendo Handhled DS consoles at the same time.
Hailey has mostly been an indoors girl while Sierra loves the outdoors.
Hailey Reads, Sierra Moves.
Today felt like a last day to me. A last day at babyhood – I know one is headed for 4th grade and the other to 2nd, but still they aren’t babies anymore.
Sierra wanted to ride a bike without training wheels today – They mostly sccoter around it gets them where they want to be FAST.
After school I had Hailey start on homework and Sierra and I pulled out the bike with training wheels that was hers a long time ago. Doesn’t fit her anymore but she can still sorta fit in it. She looked like a clown on a minibike as I watched her ride on the tiny thing. we got it 3 years ago and it fit perfectly.
I took off the training wheels, and guided her around the culdusac telling her to balance and keep going. She had it in no time and could hardly believe how easy it was!
I called Hailey out. We tried the same thing, only the bike was way too small and her knees hit the handlebars. She struggled, so I took the training wheels off the other bike. Haileys Bike, and we headed to the road. She worried I showed her how she could put 1 pedal up and push with her other foot to get going. Her balance was off and she was afraid to turn the handlebars. We took about 3 laps back and forth talking it over with her trying to teach her how easy it is to just put a foot down to stop if she’s tipping, She figured that out, but still feared the turns. I just held onto the seat and let her steer and get her speed up. I had to remind her to keep it at a steady pace and look forward and see where she was going. She did! and I let go of the seat and she tipped a little put her foot down and pouted and fussed becasue she thought she was going to fall over and the world was coming to an end. I reassured her that it was OK and that her FOOT HAD STOPPED her and she was fine. we kept going. I had her make a big loop around the cul du sac and she did a great job.
Now both the girls are fighting over who gets to ride the bike.(even though it has flat tires and you can hardly pedal it!)
My girls BOTH LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS TODAY. Sierra 7 and Hailey 8
which brings me to another point. . .
right now I have an 8 year old, a 7 year old a 2 year old and a 1 year old. Pretty crazy times!
I am having a really hard time getting my pics and videos to upload fom my camera and I hope I don’t lose them.
Back to the daily grind, Kids to and from this or that, physical therapy for me, making dentist appointments, Girls to Tumbling class and Irish Dance, Excersizing, Going for walks, Cooking Zone meals and counting calories and losing weight, Changing diapers, getting carpets and recliners cleaned, Spending 3 hours mopping the travertine tile kitchen, living space, getting ready for bookclub tonight at my house book, Running With Angels – Pamela Hansen (Very motivation true story.) Selling Squeaky Shoes and Dresses and Glass Slippers and Cookie Lee Jewelry and makeup, rented a video from RedBox for the first time – had a free code – never even watched it and then returned it. Figuring out Nathan’s trip schedule for next week, and so on. . .you know. . .my daily grind.
I’m finally getting the pics downloaded I may have too too many to post in one day. gimme time.
What a trip.
Janika and I sure had a lot of fun together. The car ride there and back was full of laughter.
We visited with brothers and Aunts and Uncles and Grandma and my parents too. It was a pretty full weekend.
Monday night we went out to Chuk E Cheese with Nathans side of the family. Zach LOVED seeing ChuckECheese. He was so excited! I was surprized he knew the name and was so excited over the whole thing.
One of the funny things Zach does now is insteas of saying Sierras name, Hailey and Sierra are both Hailey but when he say’s or Calls out Haileys name really loud his L sound his toung sticks out instead of using the top oof his mouth to make the sound. My Visiting teachers came over today and I said Hailey and he shouted her name like he was looking for her. The I said, “Say Sierra.” and he’d say “Hailey.” It’s so cute when he says it. He’s cute anytime though!
Welcome to my home Janika, Amelia and Anastasia!
Glad to have you here.
Janika took a flight out with the twins yesterday to be able to drive to Great Grandmas house and see a ton of family there.
Sounds like Kim and LeeJoe and the 5 girlys are going, My parents, and some – if not all of my moms 5 brothers will be there along with me and my 4 kids.
Thanks for letting us have part of your family Mike Sk.
Will take pics and bolg when I get back.

Dear TLC (The Learning Channel),
Look Closely.
This family couple is in need of some TLC (Tender Loving Care)
A working Mother of 7 (grown and flown the coop) and a retired Father that Devotes much of his time to serving others, are in need of HELP!
They live in a 35 year old mobile home. They want to store food. Besides the Ant invasiona and lack of suitable food storage space they are lacking in many ways. These 2 are very much in need of an Extreme Home Makeover, Mission Organization for the whole house, they could really use 10- years younger and Definatly what not to wear. These are the type of people reality TV lovers would love to watch go through thier busy crazy different lives, besides the need for a new trailer, or HOUSE, they need Curb Appeal, Design on a Dime, and a fall out shelter for food storage. Though they have not been hit by a tornado hurricane or large earthquake(yet) their home looks like it has been through it all. Their lives and card too!
Can we start a new TV show called Extreme Life makeover?
Maybe we could get all the sons-in-law and Daughters in law to actually visit if we were to do an OVERHAUL. The folks are smart, whitty, hard workers that even have a lady staying the night becasue it’s too far a drive home from work. My parents have always taken in strays in many form’s People, families bigger than thier family of 9 even, cats, dogs, etc. They will give the shirt off thier backs to make others feel better. But I don’t think anyone would really like the shirts off their backs. They have 25 or more grandkids that want to visit but the house is not condusive to fit them all comfortably – and more.
These poeple are loved so deeply, yet don’t have the means, time or know how to make thier life clean functional and simplified. their food storage is a hand me down from an old, old lady that was going to throw it away. they need a FRESH supply I’d fear eating the food storage in an emergency as it would probably be the casue of all deaths when it is supposed to save lives.(sorry, but it’s true) My house, food storage and life are not perfect, but I feel these two can be soo much better off with some outside help. They plucg in a dishwasher to their sink. when the dishes come out there’s dirt soot all inside. the pipes are so bad in the kitchen they can’t drink their water, and I forgot so my son ended up with horrid diarreah.
Add you comments and suggestions as to how you feel we can help these people out. I’ll send a better letter to TLC HGTV and so on to see if we can get some help.
We got home form our Saturday Mothers Day dinner to find out we missed Nathan’s brother Mike stopping by. They left birthday gifts for Sierra and Aurora. Here’s Sierra enjoying opening a present . . . all for her.
She got a beach towel backpack she loves it and now pulls it out to lay on the grass and watch our warbler family warm their eggs. Aurora got a super cute Minnie mouse pink polka dot summer dress. Thanks guys! Good luck on the Big loser. my motto. . .eat less, move more.
