It was 4/outa 5 Sick now it’s 5 of 5.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 11:30 am

Aurora has been super conjested, so much she pukes when she coughs.  She’s totally clingy to me.  We are sitting on my bed cuddled under a blanky while we watch Clifford the Big Red Dog.  If I move she will cry or follow me and cling to my leg.

Zach has mostly just had a runny nose, a little yuck in his diaper and hw’s very whiney.  plus he wakes up at 5 or 6 am like usual. Last night he didn’t sleep in his bedroom becasue the sound of hail on the window scared him.

Sierra has had a headache, stomachache for 2-3 days and this morning fot the fever and a little nausea.

Hailey has been feeling terrible, congestion, fever, nausea, lack of appetite.  She was up at 5AM asking for a puke bowl.  I gave her crackers, sprite and the remote.

Both older kids are out of school for the day.  They have 1/2 days all week.

I have a slightly sore throat, upset stomach and lack of appetite.

Worst of all, I cannot fix any of it and I just wanna sleep and Nathan is out of town.

HAPPY 8th Birthday SIERRA!!

Filed under: Birthday, Kids, Sierra — Tags: — Devanie @ 1:03 pm

Seems only 2,920 Days ago we were welcoming you into our family and you Big Sister Hailey was quite shy to meet you.  Really? 2,930 days That’s ALL we have had you around? That number really seems small with the number of fun things we have done with you.

You have gone to Tae Kwon Do, Ballet, Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd grade, Gymnastics, Letterboxing, Irish Dance, Lagoon, Elitches, Trips to Idaho, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, Disney World and all the places in between on the road trips  and almost a million more things, parks, fishing, Museums, 4+ Zoos and MORE!!

You’ve lived in 3 towns in 2 states!

You are a Very smart girl.  Your memory is astounding.  I bet you remember all of the trips you have been on, and every one that you love and anyone that has hurt your feelings.  You probably even remember every toy you own, and when you got them.

I miss you when you are in school!!

Today your presents were A TON of Littlest pet shop Villages and48 or so little pet shop animals, Mommy found some awesome deals on ebay – WHICH you were the one that got on and started searching for them on their with Hailey on your own trying to look for the best prices.  Yesterday we took you shopping with Grandma and Grandpas Birthday money and you purchased 2 pet shop sets with about 4 pets in them.

As soon as you set it up after school we will take a picture of the plethora or pet shops that literally take over you WHOLE bedroom!  But you love them so I had to spoil you with them.  I just hope I can find good deals for Hailey’s birthday so she can be as spoiled as you were.

I’m so happy you have chosen to be Baptized in to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!  Looking forward to May 2nd when you and Hailey become members of the church.

You are so smart and happy and it’s really nice to have you in our family, I don’t know what we would do without you, your challenging times, your laughter, your fun ideas, and your cute smile.

Loads of love

Mom and Dad

Here are some pics of the Pet shops – Before we get them organized!

Triple Birthday Party

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 2:30 pm

We headed to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Aurora, Merlin, and Sierra’s Birthday party.  Sierra had 3 friends there, Hailey brought Anthony. – it was his 2nd time ever going to a Chuck E Cheese.

It was so fun for the kids, hard to get them all together for cake, Tons of Nathan’s side of the family came up and I didn’t have to clean up the mess  =)  in the car Zach was telling me how he spilled his drink and it made him sad.  I had no idea that even happened.  They all came out with a ton of toys and sugary candy.

Aurora got a wooden pizza toy kit and a baby doll that says I love you and makes a kiss noise.  And Sierra got a ton of littlest pet shop stuff.

Haileys 4th Grade Program

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 2:25 pm

Thursday night Hailey was in her 2th grade program at school.

All about the studies they have done with the history of Utah.  It was very good, everyone was dressed up like Indians. pioneers, preachers, mountain men, a grizzly bear, cowboys and cowgirls.

They sang many many long songs that they spent months memorizing and did a fabulous job.  There were songs with Dancing, there was the very touching song about pioneers that had a lot of people teary eyed, they sang about the 29 counties.  We went to the classrooms where we saw the shoebox floats the each of the kids made to go along with their county.

Hailey’s was Washington County, she had saint George which included Zions Park.  Hers was a fun one to work with.  Nathan helped her make her brochure.  She also entered their little county fair at the school.  She made a cardboard car spray painted it green and put solar panels on the back flap painted them black and we  put GO GREEN on the side.  There were other entries in, collections, cooking, sewing, crafts etc they all won ribbons for entering their projects.

Hailey you were a VERY cute pioneer and sang beautifully and your speaking part was flawless. You are awesome and very very loved!

Saint Patricks Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 2:15 pm

The Morning started with green milk.  The sneaky Leprechaun also pulled all the green things in the fridge to the front so when we opened the door things like lime juice, pickles and lettuce were right in our faces.

Sierra made a bendy hinged leprechaun at school and I had put it on the fridge the day before, that night, the sneaky leprechauns had moved it over by the stairs.  Then when the girls came home from school it had moved onto the garage door. Then the back door, and it kept moving thru the night even when we had company over for a VERY GREEN dinner.

We had the traditional Corned Beef and potatoes.  No cabbage because I knew noone but I would eat it.  Hailey loved the corned beef. We also had green mashed potatoes, green beans, lime Jello, cucumber slices, and green apples.

The kids had a blast trying to catch the Leprechaun with Karen’s kids Madeline, Chloe and Dillon.

We later had a treasure hunt.  I made clovers with clues AND THE KIDS WENT CHSING ALL ABOUT THE GARAGE, HOUSE, PLAYSET OUTSIDE only to end up at the downstairs BATHTUB for a box of HUGE sugar cookies decorated green with clovers.

They really had a fun day.  I was exhausted.

St. Patrick’s Parade Irish Dancers

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 2:02 am

Hailey and Sierra were invited to be in the SLC St. Patty’s parade today.

We dressed them up in thier uniforms and super curly wigs(this time) and headed to the parade route.  nathan and I took Zach and Aurora to a spot on the sidewalk where we chased Aurora around and played with Zach in the stroller under his “tent” (blanket over the top).

Aurora was adorabe in her squeaky shoes http://www.claypoolecorner.com
and she was the best little waver in the audiance. She was very friendly saying “Hi.” to EVERYONE.

2 irish Dance groups came before ours.  One had dancers on a truck bed and they danced in thei “Hard shoes” with a trail of soft shoers behind them.  Not that impressive.

Then, another group came by, very quiet, no dancing, just walking. Same colors as our group, different pattern on dresses. Again not impressive.

About the 40th group in the parade was our team the SLC area team and our area.  It was HUGE!  The had Lord of the dance music blaring-Firedance.  they all knew the moves to their dance and they were GREAT.  You could hear LOUD cheering and yelling as the group started dancing!  They were AWESOME!  Nathan and I were both VERY impressed!  Poor Hailey kept getting yanked and jerked around by her group she was like a whip on the end.

Sierra was on the outer edge of her group and when we saw her at out post, she had to dodge horse poop which made it funny, but sad.  We got to follow them down the rest of the route hearing the HOOTING and Hollering and trying to catch them on video for brief moments since the camcorder battery was dead. So We still aren’t sure if we got anything or not.  but there will be MANY more parades.  Their red hair color was perfect, I think that’s why the leaders and teachers put them on the outsides of their rows.  They were adorable.

This afternoon things got busy with guests and house cleaning for the guests.  Aaron and Alice came over about 4:00 and at 5 we headed to Arctic Circle for burgers, shakes and to let the kids romp around.  It was a very nice get together.  Thanks for coming up guys, sorry about your car wreck! glad you are both OK, Sept, that vein popping out of Aaron’s forehead =)

Then at home I cleaned like a maniac again-since I was cleaning before Aaron and Alice came.  I’m pretty proud of the clean up – it didn’t take very long – we have so much STUFF!!!  I think I just need a tornado really – maybe a house fire.  anyways, the girls pitched in and cleaned up toys all over the basement and their room looks pretty nice too!

Aaren and Scott – Friends i met while visiting my sister Janika last winter in Texas are driving thru, so we are going to get to see them, we thought tonight, but the car’s “Check Engine” light came on and they had to make a u-turn back to little America CO for the night and get a check-up  hopefully we will get to have a good visit with them tomorrow.  We will see how things go with our church schedule and all.

Tubal Ligation & Oblation

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 2:39 pm

I went in for Surgery yesterday to get my tubes tied and the oblation to stop the periods.  So I didn’t have to get a full blown hysterectomy.  It’s great having neighbors and friends that can tell me about these things =)

I’ve decided that my body cannot handle pregnancy’s, with the pre-term labors, dehydration, ligament pain that made me feel the need to pray like I was dying, and recurring kidney stones and so on and on and on. . .I’d like to just focus on the 4 kids I have now and get through these tough years and into some other hard years  and not put any more stress than necessary on our family, emotions, and patience.  So it’s over.  for me since Nathan wasn’t willing and I get to stop having dreaded periods! =)  I’m SOOO HAPPY!

I’ve decided that if we have more kids it will be through foster parenting or adoption~I’d just love to have the charity and love that my mother did.  When times aren’t crazy like they feel they are for us.

It hurt, but I think the mending will be fairly quick.  They had to put 2 holes in me to get in, they went through my belly button for the tubes and just below for the oblation where they scrape the lining of the uterus and then burn/cotterize the lining so you don’t bleed.  It will all be so much better than that 10 year IUD I tried for 2 years – that HURT me especially when I was dehydrated or when I was exercising.  I bled 2 weeks a month – had 2 , 1 week periods EVERY month which was horrible.

I should be up and running soon.  Than I can go in and get my other Kidney stone taken care of too.
