Train Ride FHE

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 5:17 pm

So, my boy Zach loves trains.  so for family Home Eveining we went to see and ride teh local trains that go all over and we see them all the time and we have to wait at the signal for the crossing of trains at least once a week. So On FHE about  2 weeks ago I loaded the kids in the car.  We went to the station used the family fare for 13.80 and headed to the Downtown where they have a mall and water fountain kids can play in. And that’s what we did.  we missed the train that would get us home early so they were a few minutes later to bed than expected, but they had a pretty fun time.  I took them out for candy and then we got a Snow Cone for the ride home.  We missed a good dinner that night but at least we had a good time.  I had my diaper bag with Teddy Grahams in it and the kid had pop rocks, gum balls, snow cone and mentos for Dinner =0) too funny!

Our 12th Anniversary.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 10:01 pm

Nathan and i have been married for 12 years now.

This year we didn’t do anything great to celebrate. i have had a horrible cold.  and it’s on a Sunday so going out is hard to do.  Yesterday after sleeping most of the day, Zach puking in the toilet and whinig all day we figured it would be easier to go out and eat than to make something and after Hailey’s scant meals we needed a buffet of whatever food we wanted.  So we took them out to Golden Corral for our anniversary dinner.  Zach was excited to run around and pick out his food. we sat down I ate mine, and Zach rested his head on my arm.  He said his belly hurt, and his head was warm and he was looking “pukid”.  I took Aurora to the bathroom to try and pee on the potty – just starting to potty train – nothing both times. Zach had not touched his orange, strawberries, pizza or mac n cheese.  Daddy had the empty bread bowl full of puke on Zachs lap. we thought it was over covered the bowl with napkins, got him a few pieces of candy since he saw Aurora eating some and he wanted some. and He blew again. all over the table and his candy.  He was so sad that I dumped his candy into the puke bowl and we grabbed more for him to take home in a sack.

Romantic evening aye?

The card i gave nathan was crappy.  We did get to watch Dan in Real Life and  Ghost Town.  tht was our 12th anniversary.

Baking~Hailey makes dinner 3 nights

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 10:00 pm

This past week I have been in the kitchen a lot more.

Last night I went to an “Amazing Wheat Experience” Class.  we samples many meals with wheat berries in them, main dishes, salads, desserts, breads, pancakes etc.  it was all so good and we all got full really fast!

My favorite dish of the night was the pita pockets with a chicken and red grape salad in it.

Sis. Higley showed us how to make the pita pockets and since I have not found them in the stores here much and if they are $4 for 6 is tooo much.  so. . .This morning  ground my own wheat into flour, rolled out and I made 28 pita pockets and it WORKED!

I made the pumpkin cookies to let them taste. =)  They were a HIT, but there were also sooo many dessert choices it was hard to get them all down, it was easy for me since everyone put nuts in theirs and I didn’t need an itchy throat (allergies).

Last week I made Indian Fry bread tacos (not with my wheat) and sopapillas with cinnamon sugar & honey butter.

This week also Hailey complained about the food she was given i made chicken patty sandwiches with cheese and buns lettuce tomatoes and mayo omitting lettuce mayo and setting cheese and tomato on the side (Already knowing what works best for her) however she still complained about it so Nathan (Dad) told her she was in charge of dinner for the next 3 nights.

Night 1 we each got about 1/4 bowl cold spaghettios. (warmed for 40 seconds) I was not allowed to help her and when she used the electric can opener (1 touch) it didn’t work – she just double touched the button and didn’t try 1 touch.  So she asked me where the other hand can opener was.  She and Sierra searched since I was not allowed to help or suggest things in any way to make it a bit more difficult for her.  They finally found it and tried to figure that darn thing out.  Sierra gave up and Hailey tinkered a while longer and when I got back to the kitchen the cans were opened!!! She did it!!! We all complained about her cooking how hungry we were after we ate how cold it was and how long it took we ate at 7:20 PM  Mommy Usually feeds at 5:30.  I don’t like spaghettios, Zach barely touched them.

Night 2 She served Spaghettios again a bit more to daddy this time 3/4 can for him, i went to the Wheat class and enjoyed my hot meal ;)   I put out the toaster and hinted to her if i get the toaster out will that help you with dinner?  IT DIDN’T!!   we usually eat toast with our spaghettios and she didn’t get what i was hinting on to so they didn’t get toast either.  She made a different meal for Zach since she knew from last night that he didn’tloke spaghettios, so she made him a SOY PB & J. which she didn’t know he doesn’t like either, so he didn’t eat it then. – He’s silly finicky eater and I just wanna scream when dinner comes cuz i don’t want to force but it’s getting high time he tastes everything at least! Dinner was ready right at 5:40

Night 3 Hailey spent 1 hour making PB&J for everyone, she ran out of the Wonder bread and used my loaf for a few sandwiches. She had to cut the slices – she had a difficult time and my sandwich came out really skinny on one side and ultra fat on the other ;)    She got Cranberry Apple juice and cups for everyone and served out dinner on the tablecloth.  Until daddy said, no plates?  She had a difficult time and everyone complained again.

The lesson Daddy taught was that someone works hard to make you food whether you like it or not, say Thank You!  Try it, don’t complain, and it’s bad manners to be rude about someones cooking. And that Mommy doesn’t just make 1 thing to eat, she adds fruit, bread, veggies, drinks etc

About my Cookie Lee business

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 8:43 pm

Just a note to let you know my jewelry is all paid off!!  I just let other people try their hand at the Cookie Lee business with the THOUSANDS in inventory i have.  if they can make some bucks AWESOME for them!  I just like my 50% initial investment or less if they were sale items and almost all of them are =) cept 4 the 3 newest catalogs.  People that sell for me can make 50% profit or more!

I do have a big bill coming up in Aug for a new business that had nothing to do with jewelry Melissa & Doug wooden puzzles.  but i still have so much of that inventory that it will pay itself off soon enough and the extra jewelry inventory will help pay it off faster and if people want to sell it for me – that much less work for me and a BONUS for them.  i want Molly to keep a bunch of the money.  She WORKED for it. she can hold onto the jewelry and do as many little sales as she want and keep the toe ring and whatever else she really wants.  REALLY it’s no biggie.  I’m setting more people up to sell my jewelry too.  I just have so much and want to share.  if it helps get you a nice new Vase or plant for you new house then it’s a housewarming present.  We are doing fine!

My Mom is even interested in selling all the things I sell and taking them to boutiques becasue it is all making a profit right now. =)  She asked me about the websites I get my stuff from.  it’s great for people that have a few minutes to place an order and want to price them and stock them for someone else to tend to =0) it’s fun getting a check is just a perk =)

I do my businesses for fun and just keep re-invvesting the profits for more inventory.  if I stopped reinvesting now and just let it sell I’d probably be RICH!!! ;) LOL

LOVE the FUN of it!

Summer Fun!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Devanie @ 5:23 pm

We had family in for most of the month of July from both sides of the family.  So we played and played with them.

This past week or 2 it was Grandma L. and Aunt Janika who stayed with us.  The brought 6 kids with the Isaac, Emylie, Claire, Andrew, Amellia, Anastasia.

We went to the Sweet’s candy tour, Amusement park, Air Museum, in indoor Amusement park,  we picniced, watched movies, looked thru jewelry, enjoyed Chinese food (From Janika-nathan and Emylie had been craving it) rode from here to there and just played.

Hailey and Sierra are back in school, but Nathan thought one of the mornings I should get them ready to head out the door for school and have them plan on it but surprize them and tell them after we passed the school that they were coming to party with us.  That was the day we went to the Candy Factory and Amusement park in 1 day.  We at junk food, rode rides, had egg nog taffy & Chocolate raspberry sticks, went to the waterpark, picniced, and had a pizza and popcorn party and watched “Bolt” on the big screen downstairs. (The girls missed the movie part because it was passed bedtime, but they didn’t seem to mind they had had a fun day!)

This week we found out my Moms house had to be demolished.  It was condemned due to age and water damage.  But those are the kinds of houses my Mom likes to buy thinking they are salvageable and since they are such a GREAT DEAL, thinks she can work with them.  She may not be getting much insurance money out of it because it’s an “Exsisting Condition” and she will be homeless while it gets rebuild into a much smaller house, but that’s the way her life goes.  always seems to be full of trials and they just keep pouring down on her.  As she said her goodbyes to nathan and i she cried.  She has never cried when leaving out house before – guess she’s sad her vacation at a real house is over =(..  We just count our MANY MANY blessing that we have all that we do.

I have sent $2,000 in jewelry to My sister Molly to sell and play with Friday she had a $250.00 show.  My mom is going to try her hand at sellign jewelry in a college town in missoui (Someday) I’m sending $1,300 out with her.  I have a friend in Reno that has been trying to sell and has sent back $100 of the initial $1,900 i sent to her. and I have a friend in Oregon now trying to sell with my inventory too.  Quite nice being able to spread it around have them do some of the work and bring in somemoney for themselves too.

I’m still sellign Baptizm dresses at the 2 boutiques and squeaky shoes.  Those are all still bringing in money for me and I don’t have to do much with them.  I just have to re-order and restock.

The Melissa & Doug wooden puzzles and toys are coming up on their 60 day trial.  I have sold a few pieces but am not sure what and how to pay off the investment on the 22nd.  it will probably take payments for a while but the jewelry is what will help pay it off faster.

Nathan is teaching Sunday school for Hailey’s class. I’m helping sub for 3 weeks.  I laughed a lot in primary today they had some funny adults when they were blindfolded playing hot-cold trying to put a bow on a present while the kids sang soft or loud as they got closer to the right color paper on the chalkboard.  guess in my older age my body is failing me more but I start to laugh like a child when I see people do silly things ;0

This past week our local grocery store doubled $1 coupons and I had just got $17.00 worth of 5 cent coupons in the mail so it worked out GREAT ecxept that I didn’t need to buy anything i was just stocking up. So now we have diapers, pringles, lunch meat, hot dogs, cheese, yogurt, baby shampoo, pineapple and more I over the past week I have spent $300 but saved $250+
